Dear Tutor,
I would appreciate your advice on the following. I am following your online lectures for F2 and using the exam kit to test my understanding after each chapter. My exam kit is a not new Kaplan (version valid from exams 01.09.15 to 31.08.18)
Would you recommend to buy the most recent exam kit as the question would be different? Also, what other investments would you recommend to pass the F2 exam in terms of materials?
I wait to hear your advice,
Thank you,
LeoDecember 1, 2018 at 4:25 pm #486688I’d like to add also that the F2 ACCA notes I am using relates Sept/December 2015 exam, could I still use them as a main reference or the changes since then have been such that you recommend to either reprint the most updated ones on the website or buying a new book? I have only noticed the difference when I came across chapter 5 which in my version is: “inventory control” – whereas now it is: “ORDERING AND ACCOUNTING FOR INVENTORY”.Is this the only chapter that has been substantially updated since Sept/Dec 2015 exam?
I’d really appreciate your advice,Thank you
LeoDecember 1, 2018 at 5:59 pm #486709The syllabus has not changed and so your Exam Kit is OK to use.
Our lecture notes have been improved – not because of changes in the syllabus, but to make them better. They are free to download, so it is best to download the current notes.
There is no point in using the notes at all unless you are watching the lectures that go with them, because it is in the lectures that I explain and expand on the notes. (If you are not watching the lectures for any reason then you need to buy a Study Text and study from there).
Because the lectures are all based on the current lecture notes, then again you do need to download the current notes.
