If anyone needs a break from study, but also wants to learn I recommend watching “Yes Minister” The Compassionate Society (series 2 episode 1 from 1981).
A great example of why not getting the three Es in balance is a problem.
I’m biased but I think its one of the best comedies ever written
Hello Sir, I have been seeing under the last chapter Big Data of the lecture videos that a video will soon be uploaded. Since it hasnt yet and the exam is in few days, im wondering is it applicable in the upcoming march exam?
It is applicable. What is written in the course notes is all that is needed (and as I have written before, if anything in the chapter is not clear then ask in the Ask the Tutor Forum).
I am SO grateful to have found Open Tuition. All you guys are great teachers. Thank you so much.
So far PM looks not too difficult(watched most of the lectures and going to start doing the exercises of the revision kit) but according to the ACCA the passing rate in Dec19 was only 38%. How can it be so?
The biggest reason is that for very many people it is their first ACCA exam (because of exemptions) and they do not appreciate that they are hard exams. So they do not study enough and do not practice enough.
I’ve been studying with both Kaplan and BPP and I must say that your lectures are absolutely amazing and even better than those of Kaplan/BPP – direct, down to earth, aim to pass not get an award! Although I read the study texts as well, most of the information is covered in your lectures and those study texts then feel so easy to understand.
Also, I really appreciate your comment on why the pass rate for PM is so low. It gave me hope and more motivation to study more!
Thank you again for your hard work which makes our work a bit less hard 馃檪
Thank you for the wonderful lectures. I like the way you keep your lectures very simple and interesting. I am preparing for my December session. I finished watching all your lectures. I have this BPP study text. Should i read the study text or just practice the questions from revision kit and past papers?
Ive read on here previously that the bpp revision kit is sufficient along with these lectures and notes. Im always sitting this exam in december. Good luck!
I cannot see chapter 20 and 21 anywhere. The notes say that all key terms are explained in the lectures that goes with the chapter. I just can’t fin the chapters in the lectures section.
(I assume that do you have a Revision Kit? You must’ve a Revision Kit from one of the ACCA approved publishers because they are full of exam standard questions for practice, and practice is vital to passing the exam.)
hello sir i have my exam in september, I am done with the lectures and have done most of the kaplan kit should i do the bpp kit also or should i just revise from kaplan. Also i have doubt in few relevant costing questions, is there anyway i could get clarification on them?
Good morning, Mr. John, Thank you for the way that you explained everything. You do have a gift in teaching. Keep going in help as many students as you can as a lot of as are lost in the syllabus and need guidance! Regards, Ionela
Dear John, thank you so much for all the lectures i have finally completed watching all of them and making my own notes from them how would you suggest i continue from now? should i practice questions only from the revision kit till the exam date or practice past papers? any advice is very much appreciated thank you
Best is to buy a Revision Kit from one of the ACCA approved publishers (BPP or Kaplan). They contain all relevant past exam questions as well as many other exam-standard questions. The problem with just looking at past exam questions is that both the syllabus and the format of the exam have changed over recent years.

When I started F2, I couldn鈥檛 wait for a theoretical chapter to take a breather. Now I fall asleep in them (not implying that I take them lightly). ?
Thank you John for your efforts & keeping things interesting!

Chapters 20 and 21 of the free notes are new because of syllabus changes. Lectures on them will be uploaded in the next few weeks.
beingady1 says
Any chance they can be uploaded before 4th sept exam? I don’t have any other thing to prepare from, other than your notes and lectures.
John Moffat says
Yes – they will be uploaded before then 馃檪

The more question you practice the better (from both kits).
You can get clarification of problems by asking in the Ask the Tutor Forum for Paper PM.
