Hi, do you have P7 (UK) lecture? If not, how much is the difference between UK and International version? Currently I am working in an UK accounting practice, but planning to move to another country within 2 years.
The difference between the two variants exists because, although the UK is resolved to accepting IFRS as standards in place of the UK’s own FRSs, there are still some areas where the UK is hanging on to their old ideals
If you have any ambitions to practice in the UK at any time in the future, you will need a practicing certificate and that means that you’ll have to take the UK variant
Differences? Minimal! Check it out for yourself – download both variants of a recent exam and check for the differences. There aren’t many!
The BIG difference is that, in the UK exam, the break down of the marks allocated to separate parts of a question is not shown whereas that break down is shown in the International variant exams
