any example for when we should use this?…or would we be asked specifically to use it?

you can be asked to use this in a performance related question…Esp in Q 1 of P3 exams…Say you have been given an company to evaluate which is entering a new venture…instead of using swot / 6 Ms….you can use balance score cards to highlight the answer or you can incorporate balance scorecard in you 6Ms or SWOT to highlight the strength and weakness or opp or threats using the topics below

Financial perspective- cashflow
Innovation and learning-new ideas
