I understand summary dismissal is a serious bread of contract by the employee. I thought in this case the employer doesn’t need to give a notice period to the employee? I’m confused with this question in the ACCA free test:
“Which of the following statements regarding summary dismissal is correct? -It is permissible whenever an employee has breached their contract ”
Why that answer is not correct? Wouldn’t summary dismissal be permissible as the employee has repudiate/ breach the contract?
? Dismissed on trf of ownership (where a company sells to another company they cannot dismiss staff) *How would this work in company sale to investors? if they purchase company is it automatic that the assets (staff are included) at what stage is it unfair dismissal?

Where can I find the remedies for unfair dismissal i.e re-employment, re-instatement and re-engagement please?

If you have the ACCA Study Text book, the explanation is in page 113. The remedies for unfair dismissal are two: 1) Reinstatement or 2) Re-engagement.
