I have a question, is the consolidation of financial statements marked in the exam?
In the BPP kit only workings are presented.Thank you in advance.
It depends precisely what the question asks for
Where the question requirement is “You are required to prepare the financial statements for the year ended 31 December, 2017 for the Carter Group” then … you are required to prepare the consolidated financial statements
If the requirement is “You are required to show the workings for (a) consolidated retained earnings (b) goodwill (c) non-controlling interest and (d) revaluation reserve” then there will be no marks for showing the consolidated statement of financial position
It depends entirely on the question requirement
