i go through BCG from opentution note and also listen lecture that is available on your website.after doing those i have confusion on specific word that is market share and market growth . please clear with example what does mean by market share and market at BCG matrix .
thanks in advance.
Market growth is how the whole market grows, nothing to do with your share.
Market share is, strictly, relative market share, which is your market share over the largest market share. So if you have 20% of the market and the largest firm has 50%, relative market share is 20/50 = 0.4. The market leader will have relative market share of 1.
