Sir can you please explain the relationship of succession planning to the organisational strategy?
Despite its appearance in the syllabus I don’t think there is much relationship. I would have though that few organisations (other than perhaps family ones) would feel their strategy was limited by succession planning.
In family organisations mum/dad might want son/daughter to take over the business but son/daughter might not be very talented. Therefore strategy might have to be chosen with that limitation in mind.
Oh okay.
I get it now. Thank you.
