we have to restate the previous year EPS if there is a rights or bonus issue of share to make it comparable
But i am unable to understand how do we restate and I dont want to cram the formulaes.
can u hepl me understand how exactly do we restate last year

No problem – you say that you “dont want to cram the formulaes”
There’s no easy way to do this without understanding the formulae
If you can work those out, then you’ve cracked the issue of restatement
Have another look at the course notes and try the formulae in those notes – practice them … sing the rules to yourself of how to arrive at the two fractions
Because, once you’ve arrived at those fractions, restatement is a proverbial piece of cake
