    hello sir
for the march session .. i am planning to write f6 and re attempt p7..
now the issue is.. i have to undergo a surgery for my eyes and the doctor has told me to take a minimum rest of 7 days for the eyes.. and there are 7 weeks from today for the exam. and i am a bit stressed about the time available
so.. i have started studying for f6 .. i have not attempted it before and after the march session the rules would change.
so i was wondering if suppose i dont clear f6 in march attempt .. and then try to write it in june.. would there be a lot of difference when the rules are updated? would studying for f6 again be like studying for a totally new subject? or when the rules are updated its a small difference? i am asking this question because i am confused weather i should write f6 now or in june.. because usually when i write a paper for the second time its studying the same syllabus again.. but for f6 i am confused about it because if i have to re attempt then would it be very different from what i am going to study now

Your health and your eyesight are precious and must take priority! Do whatever the surgeon says please.
If your studies are complete for F6 then losing one week or a little longer longer should not be a major problem so you can still attempt and pass the March exam. If you have only just started your F6 studies then defer until June.
Yes there are changes in FA 2016 which are significant, but still the majority of the material remains the same for the June exam. Most of the changes are within income tax and CGT. Don’t worry now about the possibility of a resit just focus on taking good care of your eyes and passing those exams – if a resit happens you will deal with it at the time! I wish you well for your operation

    hello sir
i have taken a decision to not write any exam for the march session because.. my doctor said yesterday to delay exams for atleast a month..
so i decided to start preparing for f6 from march 1.
so i wanted to ask if the materials woulbd be available by march 1? or after the march session results are published?
i am asking this question because.. i was thinking that.. if the new materials will come after the results.. i should start preparing for p2 from march 1

I’m glad you have made your decision and I wish you a speedy recovery. The OT course notes will be available before March 1 and also some of the lectures, so you will certainly be able to start your F6 studies at that time – good luck.
