I’m hoping to start studying F6 this weekend, to take the exam in December before things change in the material.

I understand that the only opportunity to test left for me is december 2016.

Do you think I have enough time to master the material, since I’ve got a full-time job and a family?

    Thanks,

    M

The current FA 2015 OT course notes and lectures are relevant to both the December 2016 and March 2017 exams.
Only you will know how much time you will be able to give to your studies each week and then it will also be a case of whether you quickly understand the issues or whether you need more time.
I would suggest that you start on a basis of sitting the exam in December and then make your final decision closer to the exam entry deadline when you have had an opportunity to see how your studies are progressing.
I would also advise working through the notes in conjunction with the lectures to ensure that you have understood the issues covered
    Good luck with your studies
