Dear John,
First of all I would like to thank you for the wonderful website that you have given ACCA students. I just got to know about it from PQ magazine. I know today is 1st April and the exam for P4 is on 2nd June. I wanted to start my P4 studies. I do work full time but I can spare two hours each day. Just wanted you to guide me as to what’s the best approach to study P4 and advise me whether I can successfully go through the whole syllabus and do enough question practice to pass the exam in June. Do I have enough time or do I need to study more than two hours to pass in June?
Thank you very much
April 1, 2015 at 2:29 pm #239810There is certainly enough time if you start now.
I would suggest that you work through our free lecture notes, watching the lectures that go with the notes. I don’t know how recently you did F9, but most of F9 (apart from the management of working capital) is examinable again at P4, so if necessary also watch the relevant F9 lectures.
Otherwise the main thing is question practice – this is more important than anything. Make sure you have a current edition of a Revision Kit (and ask in the Ask the Tutor Forum if you hit any problems).
April 2, 2015 at 12:11 pm #239917Thank you for encouraging me. Thank you so much. So many others were demoralizing me that I don’t have enough time. However, you talked about having an exam kit. Wouldn’t just downloading and working through the answers found on the ACCA website work? The questions are the same anyway in the kit so can I just rely on past papers found on ACCA website, particularly those from Dec 2010?
