Hi
When would you use the Mendelows approach?
Also what are the disadvantages of mission statements?
Thanks
April 7, 2014 at 5:51 pm #164655Mendelow: tends to be used when you can talk about conflicting stakeholder objectives and how much notice you need to give to each. Is usually used in passing, not a main point of a question. Can come up in strategic appraisal in the Acceptability section.
Mission. The main disadvantage is that they can be drafted as ‘me to’, public relations exercises which are rather empty and ignored. Users can become cynical.

Hi gromit,
Submiting OBU RAP report on project topic 17 , requires discussion on impact of corporate governance on stakeholder, is mendelow theory relevant in this regard?

Hi gromit,
How best can one analyse impact csr or corporate governance policies of an entity of different stakeholders group.
April 12, 2014 at 2:43 pm #165127It would depend on the scenario. Eg outsourcing hurts employed but be edits the outsource company. Customers and government might resent this. Government might be a key player. On the other hand, government might not care and be more of a keep-satisfied. Similarly with CSR initiatives.
