I have to just say Chris’s style and casual humour makes this topic so much easier to process and digest. He also acknowledges where our memory might be a bit hazy instead of assuming we are super computers. Props to this man.

Hi, in relation to open tuition f3 at page 5 example 3, can you explain please step by step how do you put into calculator all the numbers to get 3.3 %? I have tried and can not get the same answer!! Please help!
Example 4 page 5 can you explain what does redeemable bond of 97% mean and why do we write it as 0.97? How redeemable bond can be else expressed and how should this be written when you do the calculations?

I also don’t get 3.3%. I’d get 3.3% if it is [(EPS 20X6/EPS 20X3) to the power of 3]-1 but the formula is [(EPS 20X6/EPS 20X3) root of 3]-1.
bit late for the May comment but here is how i get it….
(17.2/150) / (10.4/100) equals, then AC, then shift button and button shows 3root with a filled in box underneath then ANS, then minus 1, multiply by 100 if you need to to see the final percentage.
