Is it possible to attempt the optional exams without first clearing or entering for the compulsory exams?
Hi
It used to be possible – by entering for any remaining F level papers in the same sitting as the P level papers, and then not turning up for the F level exams
The exam timetable nowadays has the F level tax, financial reporting and auditing papers on the same day as the advanced level P paper equivalents
(F6 on the same day as P6, F7 on the same day as P2, F8 on the same day as P7)
I suppose that, if you choose to avoid P4 as one of your option papers, you could pass 5 P level papers and still avoid attempting F9
But why?
Or do you mean is it possible to leave P1, P2 and / or P3 until after taking 2 out of 4 option papers?
Yes, that’s certainly possible. You can take P level papers in any sequence you choose
OK?
