    Hi Mike,
Kindly please advice me on the format of report and briefing paper. Are they the same?
I have been taught by my local tuition provider that it is the same and as follows:
    To:
    From:
    Subject:
    Introduction:

    Main body

    Conclusion:

Kindly do confirm if it is to be dated and signed as well.

Hi, yes I suppose they are – at least they are so similar as to make little difference. A Memorandum fall into the same group.

Just looking at it again, your top 4 items should be

    “To

    From

    Subject

    Date” followed by

    “Introduction

    Summary of main conclusion

    Main body

    Detailed conclusion”

There should technically be NO SIGNATURE

However, it seems that neither BPP nor Kaplan want to take a consistent approach to this and sometimes they do sign and other times they don’t. And I think you’ll find that P1, P2, and P7 examiners are equally inconsistent.

In some revision kits, a question may ask for a report yet, when you check the suggested solution, it isn’t in report style.

    IT IS SO FRUSTRATING!
