Got 49 in F8 December 09 exam.
It is about a mark only to pass, can anyone tell me if there is any option to request ACCA for re-checking my paper. And will there be any fees involve and time frame to file a request?
And if anyone has any experience of related to re-check request, I mean is it any good or feasible? Do ACCA change their verdict?
Appreciate if anyone can advice and share experience.
Thank you

one should know that the conceptual base is required to pass each acca paper particularly f8. when one fails at 49 it means that one has shown some basic conceptual mistake for example if i got the whole paper right but in between i wrote "the auditor certified or guranteed that financial statements are true and fair" then he will fail despite the fact how much perfectly he has done the remaining paper
after checking the paper the marker evaluates the worth of whole conceptualy and then award pass or fail some students got 50 in f8 so the question arises that what is a difference in 49 and 50 the difference is about the approach and concepts
once my teacher of f8 said that if a students got 70 marks in f8 but put a fundamental mistake like above the examiner will fail him
so do not worry forget about it i can understand that after failing at 49 one can think what could i do to pass the paper but you should know that this is not the lack of knowledge may be time pressure because in f8 hardly any student got the chance to reread the paper
about adm review one of my friend studied at lca london failed at 49 in p7 and got the review but of no avail
the acca will not change the result
so forget about it and take the challenge to pass f8 best of luck
(ftc book and past paper )
