hi folks, im too getting confused looking at Criminal questions as part of the GLO chpt 1 where it talking about sharia, judicial precedence , separation of powers and rule of law!
Imran claims that Zak owes him £1,000 as a result of a breach of contract. In which court will Imran start his action against Zak? A The magistrates’ court B The county court C The High Court
I thought it was supposed to A because in the Magistrates’ court there is a civil and a criminal division it will only go to County as an appeal, yet the answer is saying B. I need your guidance!!!
“The court procedure you follow depends on the amount of the debt. Generally, small to medium debts will be recovered through the County Courts. Larger claims will be pursued in the High Court.
For disputed debts up to £10,000, the court case is allocated to the ‘small claims track’. This is a relatively simple, informal and inexpensive procedure for resolving disputes in the county court.”
Alfred – you MUST acquire a revision kit / exam kit from one of the reputable publishers. This is not something that you can avoid!

I Thank you so much, however we have a distance barrier; am in Zimbabwe in Africa, how do we reach you guys? I would love to be part of opentuition all through in order for me to also benefit.
I choose “Ratio Decidendi” as answer for Q.2 but the system shows that the correct answer is “Ultra Vires”. Please confirm whether it is a technical error or something else?

1. Obiter dicta
2. Stare decisis

I chose “Ratio Decidendi” as answer but the system shows that the correct answer is “Ultra Vires”.
