What about the receivables Journal in the diagram? I realize that sales journal might include Receivables but sales journal would also include cash sales, right?

I mean what if we only need to know about the creadit sales which are nothing but receivables?

The receivables journal (also called the sales journal, or sales day book) only records sales on credit.
Sales for cash (cash sales) are recorded in the cash receipts book, and analysed into a column headed ‘sales’.
