I didn’t understand the logic of 2% x budget = $1,250. I were confused and didn’t know how can you get this equatation. Could you please explain more detail so that I can get it.
I got : actual fixed o/h expenditure was 2% below budget” means actual fixed o/h = 98% x budget. if I called X = budget, and actual fixed o.h expenditure = 0.98 X. Therefore: 0.98X – X = $1,250. however, I got the incorrect answer.

If 0.98X – X = 1250, then 0.02X = 1250 (which is the same as 2% X = 1250
