From my understanding, outsourcing is a strategy used by hollow (or to ‘hollowfy’) organisations. So, I guess that outsourcing is a method used by organisations, not an organisation in itself.

It will be the name of the outsourcer, not the company making the phone. For example, Apple doesn’t make its iPhones as these are outsourced to companies like Foxcom in China.
